About
I am a psychology postgraduate student within the Acoustics Research Centre at the University of Salford. My postgraduate research aims to explore and gain an understanding of the experiences of living near road and rail networks. Within this there are several objectives, firstly to gain an understanding of the how people 'narrate' their experiences of vibration and noise from railways and roads in their residential environments. The research will also explore the concept of place in terms of place attachment and place identity, and the part this plays in resident's everyday experiences of vibration and noise.
I am also the PsyPAG (Psychology Postgraduate Affairs Group) representative for the Qualitative Methods in Psychology (QMiP) section and the North West Branch of the British Psychological Society (BPS). PsyPAG is a national organisation for all psychology postgraduates based at UK Institutions which is funded by the Research Board of the BPS.
